Troubleshoot common issues and errors associated with linking a business as a principal authority.

If the business is already linked in RAM then you can update your details or cancel your ABN using ABR online servicesExternal Link.
If you didn’t link the business online in RAM (you appear in RAM as a Government representative, Indirect associate or Responsible authority) you’ll also need to remove your authorisation for the business in RAM.
If you're unable to set up a Digital ID, such as myID, with a Standard or Strong identity strength, you won’t be able to link your business in RAM at this time.

If you can't find your business when trying to link your business online in RAM this may be because:
Error codes: REB.BR.0003, REB.BR.0032, ROB.BR.0002, ROB.BR.0003
This error means your Australian business number (ABN) is not active. You should check that your ABN is active using ABN Lookup linkExternal Link.
If your ABN has been cancelled, you will need to re-apply for an ABNExternal Link. Once your ABN has been reinstated you can link your business in RAM.
Error code: REB.BR.0040
